Jobs not suitable for tall people (plus jobs that are suitable)

While this is not completely true, since I am pretty sure there are some tall people in this profession, my punchline picture will only work if I use this as a job not suitable for us tall individuals. The job I am talking about is firefighter. I am pretty sure being tall becomes dangerous when you enter a building on fire and things are falling down. Wearing the firefighter’s helmet will diminish the ability of a tall person to detect low hangings, which may lead to concussions. More importantly, tall people have a much bigger “burn area” than average and short people. This does not mean that tall people cannot do this job well, because we must remember our people are very resourceful.

Now, a much fitting job for tall people would be firefighter mascot. See exhibit A below:

Who needs an air suit when you are 6 foot a lot?

If they hire a tall person to be the firefighter mascot, I am pretty sure there will be no need for a “big suit,” and the comedic/surprise impact would be just as big. Plus, you would save the money and space needed to buy and store one of those big suits. So its a win win situation. Fire departments save space and money and a tall person gets employed!
